Recognise those people, groups and organisations who have gone above and beyond in supporting and strengthening our local community
On the 23rd March 2021 as part of the National Day of Reflection, an Oak Tree was planted in Barrow Park in partnership with CANDO FM and Barrow Borough Council. This tree commemorates those we have lost during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As it will grow it will symbolise the strength and roots of our local community. And that is the theme of the Oak Tree Award.
- You can nominate anyone who has provided support to the community.
- Put forward people and groups who have strengthened our community with acts of kindness and courage.
- Say thank you to those who have drawn our community together through their actions and presence.
